Things Greeley needs to improve

Hey folks, Military spouse here. With a population of 109K, Greeley is a mid-size city. Rent is about $1,333/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from San Francisco about 11 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is decent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
