Been living here since 2013. With a population of 11,679, Green River is a small town. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Nashville about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is solid.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
