Curious what people think. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Nashville about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Southern.
