Hi all, Household incomes average around $86,352 in Greenbelt. Rent is about $1,807/month for a decent place. With a population of 24,572, Greenbelt is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely decent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Eastside) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
