So, Average temperature is around 60°F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $58,884, which feels about average for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 299K people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for Greensboro? The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Phoenix it's pretty good.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is decent in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Meadowbrook for 8 years. Moved from Denver for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Chain restaurants dominate. Homeless population growing downtown. And cultural scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 6/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in North for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- The job market scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
