You can expect to pay around $882 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
