Couple moving to Greenville from out of state

Alright, Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $213,100 on average. The unemployment rate is 5.8%, which is about average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks! The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 3 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much wild but now it's pretty good.
