I work in construction and It's a a smaller city city with about 88,540 people. Poverty rate is 13.5%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider -Greenville sits at 463.9 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.8%, which is about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The walkability is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Sunset for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The weather scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
