Just moved to Greenville from Seattle — first impressions

We made the move 2 ago and here are my first impressions:

People are genuinely friendly here. Rent runs about $983/month for a typical apartment. Weather is moderate — about 63F average.

Biggest surprise: The food scene is way better than expected
Biggest disappointment: The winters are rougher than expected

Overall, I really enjoy living here.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

I work in healthcare and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 4 months.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Riverside and Westside are perfectly safe.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.
