Hello, Household incomes average around $46,664 in Greenville. Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much pricey but now it's tough.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 14 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is challenging in most areas.

I've lived in Downtown for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options
- The traffic scene is average
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..
