Random thought, I'm single, late 30s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Greenville sits at 575.7 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in legal. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is excellent in most areas.
