Greenville in the winter -how bad?

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $63,574 in Greenville. Crime rate is something to consider -Greenville sits at 269.1 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much competitive but now it's hit or miss.

I've lived in Old Town for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- The cultural scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
