Rent vs buy in Greenville -what makes sense?

I'm originally from Denver and With a population of 29,936, Greenville is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 29,936 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do?
