Working remotely from Greenville

OK so It's a a small town city with about 12,911 people. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $337,100, which seems about average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'm a nurse and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is decent in most areas.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Cedar Grove area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
