Housing in Greenwood compared to Kansas City

Hello, It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Came here for retirement and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The cultural scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to LA it's better than expected.
