Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $40,253 in Greenwood. Median household income is $40,253, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Greenwood sits at 1,494.0 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $826 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience? Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Chicago about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is average in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Minneapolis about 13 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..
