Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Boston it's tough.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much established but now it's underrated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..
