Best neighborhoods to rent in Gresham?

So, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $1,508/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $440,000 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. With a population of 113K, Gresham is a mid-size city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Easy commute
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
- Poor road conditions
Does this match your experience? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in West for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options
- The nightlife scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Midtown for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
- The outdoor recreation scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
