Considering Gresham vs Minneapolis -help me decide

Anyone else feel this way? I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $73,608, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 113K, Gresham is a mid-size city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks for reading.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..
