Gresham is underrated, change my mind
OK so I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Gresham sits at 442.7 per 100K. With a population of 113K, Gresham is a mid-size city. Rent is about $1,508/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Nice parks and trails
- Low crime in most areas
Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Lack of diversity
- Boring for young people
The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
