Working remotely from Griffith

Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $200,400, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 16,228 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Atlanta it's surprisingly good.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Old Town for 14 years. Moved from San Diego for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Dating scene is rough. Homeless population growing downtown. And job market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 9/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is decent in most areas.
