Homes are going for about $263,100 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I'm a project manager and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

I've lived in North for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The public transit scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for weather and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor recreation is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
