Life in Grinnell as a young professional

Alright, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $191,700 on average. Rent is about $876/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 12 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
