Moving to Griswold -what should I know?

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $937/month for a decent place. Median household income is $61,167, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thanks for reading. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The pet-friendliness is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 1 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
