Life in Grosse Pointe Park as a young professional

I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Grosse Pointe Park sits at 126.8 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,365 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 11,394 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much manageable but now it's average.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2022 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
