How are the schools in Grosse Pointe Woods?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from San Francisco and Rent is about $1,755/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $129,442 in Grosse Pointe Woods. With a population of 16,177, Grosse Pointe Woods is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely challenging and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
