I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The safety is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
