Is Guadalupe good for remote workers?

Anyone else feel this way? I work in tech and The median home value here is around $233,500, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 19.4%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $783 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor recreation is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Downtown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The pet-friendliness scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..
