Pros and cons of Guaynabo zona urbana after 3 years
Random thought, Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (West) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in East for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The nightlife scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high

Bought a house here in 2024 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much established but now it's better than expected.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
