Biggest downsides of living in Guilford Center?

Alright, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $586,500, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What do you all think? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The cost of living is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 2 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Old Town area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Came here for school and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The housing market is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
