Job hunting in Gulf Breeze -tips?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 28-year-old mechanic and Crime rate is something to consider -Gulf Breeze sits at 73.1 per 100K. Rent is about $1,246/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $108,575 in Gulf Breeze. Poverty rate is 0.5%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 3 years. Moved from Denver for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Chain restaurants dominate. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
