Is Gulfport good for remote workers?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. With a population of 72,533, Gulfport is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,030 for rent here. Homes are going for about $167,100 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any advice would be great. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
