Couple moving to Gurabo zona urbana from out of state

First post here. I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Gurabo zona urbana sits at 2,771.8 per 100K. Rent is about $627/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 79--F, so it's warm year-round. The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
