Hacienda Heights quality of life -am I missing something?
Hey folks, I work in food service and Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 7.8%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $778,700, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $2,247/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
