Pros and cons of Hacienda Heights after 9 years
First post here. I'm retired and Median household income is $106,620, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $778,700 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Diverse community
- Easy commute
Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited nightlife
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
