Freelancing from Hacienda San José comunidad -experience?

Hello, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 13.5%, which is around average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
