Job hunting in Hackensack -tips?

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Hackensack sits at 231.4 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Hackensack? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Dallas it's better than expected.
