So, We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $1,783 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Springfield. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Hope this helps!.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Maple Ridge area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community vibe is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
