Is Hagerstown good for remote workers?

OK so Homes are going for about $207,700 on average. Household incomes average around $49,957 in Hagerstown. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Denver about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Highland for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Houston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
