Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and Rent is about $888/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 3,404 people. Median household income is $67,196, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $176,500, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 11 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been here 7 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.
