The good and bad of living in Hailey
Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 40s, and Median household income is $83,084, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,196/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
Pros:
- Easy commute
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
