First post here. I'm single, late 30s, and Rent is about $914/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Haines sits at 368.7 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
