Hello, I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,156 people. You can expect to pay around $1,216 for rent here. Poverty rate is 12.6%, which is around average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 1 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Chicago it's underrated.
