I'm retired and Rent is about $1,651/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? Thanks! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is improving.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
