Best neighborhoods to rent in Halfway House?

Anyone else feel this way? Just moved here 14 months ago and Homes are going for about $294,300 on average. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 8.4%, which is concerning. Median household income is $118,878, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Halfway House sits at 769.7 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
