Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 45,681, Haltom City is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 10.6%, which is around average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Cheers. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I work in healthcare here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is challenging. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
