Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 11,643 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Denver about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- The safety scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good airport with direct flights
- The walkability scene is solid
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..
