Honest thoughts on life in Hampton Bays

Curious what people think. I've been here for 17 years and With a population of 17,138, Hampton Bays is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
