Is Hampton Beach walkable?

I've been here for 20 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Hampton Beach sits at 118.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,454 for rent here. Household incomes average around $75,363 in Hampton Beach. Median household income is $75,363, which feels about average for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Does this match your experience? TIA! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 3 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Uptown for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The cultural scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Cedar Grove area are tough. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from San Diego about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from San Francisco about 13 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
