Random thought, The median home value here is around $234,100, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 137K, Hampton is a mid-size city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
- The cultural scene scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
